If you're taking the time out to become a Supplier on Lawn Club, and to use these free tools and services, as a means of promoting your products and services to the men and women of the Australian lawn and garden care industries, then here are some ideas that are very simple and easy to implement, and which will bring the greatest recognition and interest to your News Channels from our members.

USE YOUR LOGO AS YOUR PROFILE PICTURE
It is strongly recommended that you upload your company logo as your Profile Picture. Your logo will then be seen across our site by our members, who will then instantly recognise your News Channels as authentic, and thus increase views and interactions and attention to your participation on Lawn Club, whether it be on our Forum or on our Supplier News Channels.

Your logo will also display as a free "mini-ad" across our site.

CHOOSE A SQAURE PROFILE PICTURE
Every profile picture on our site is based on a square shape, some of these images are then made into a circle on some parts of the site. To ensure your logo is displayed at its best, its recommended that you all members and suppliers use a squared image.

HOW TO NAME YOUR SUPPLIER NEWS CHANNEL
The best way to name your channel is such…

“The (your brand name) Channel”

Eg: The Husqvarna Channel” - “The Honda Channel” etc

Naming your news channels this way will ensure they show up on our site in the best way possible, and so that members can most easily recognise your posts as a part of our Supplier News Channels. But this is of course your choice...

CUSTOMISE YOUR PAGES
There are some quick and easy modification tools available for both Profile Pages and Supplier News Channels. It only takes a few minutes to add a few customisations to your pages to provide a unique brand recognition for your company on Lawn Club, and something more worthwhile for our members to recognise and respect that your business is authentically represented on our site.

YOUR POSTS ON SUPPLIER NEWS CHANNELS
Relevant news about latest product releases, special offers, tips for product use, sharing and explaining the various features and benefits of your products. A separate post about each of your major product lines would also be worthwhile.

Another example, if your company has a sale on, explain the basics about your sale, upload a picture of the products on sale, and invite members to visit the relevant page on your website for full details.

Youtube videos can also be easily embedded within all your Supplier Channel posts.

POSTS ON THE LAWN FORUM
After posting to your News Channel, you could also post a short place on the forum to direct members across to your News Channel post. Though this is not necessary, as your News Channel post will show up across our site anyway.

Or, you could choose to just invite feedback from members and chat to our members from within the Forum alone… its your choice how you use our services.

USING OUR COMMUNITY CALENDAR
Our calendar is there for the lawn and garden industry to use for their benefit. If you have a sale on, or an open day, or anything else which is time specific… put a notice onto our Community Calendar as well.

If you’re a Contractors Organisation, why not keep our Community Calendar up to date with your meeting times, open days etc.

BE RELEVANT TO CONTRACTORS AT ALL TIMES
The existence of Lawn Club is solely for Contractors in the lawn and garden industries. Likewise, your existence on Lawn Club is also solely for interaction with these same contractors.

Be sure whatever you post, is relevant to our audience and members at all times. Otherwise you may find our members could begin ignoring your posts as irrelevant to them.

RESPECT OUR MEMBERS
Please respect our members, they are our number one, and only reason for existence. Always try to answer any questions on your Forum Topics and your Supplier Pages, and do so with respect. It just makes sense.

INVITE FEEDBACK
If you’re going to post so that our members can read and see what you want to share with them, it also seems to make sense to invite feedback from members about your product and to answer any questions.

You of course have the option to close off comments from members.

DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE MEMBERS
The main thing we don’t want here is Spam Marketing.

Direct Marketing to individual members may result in immediate account termination. There are so many tools that Lawn Club provides freely to Suppliers to market their products to members properly… These free tools are there for you to use… use them :)

MODERATE MEMBERS CAREFULLY
Think twice, and then three times before moderating any members posts on your Forum Topics or Supplier News Channel. Removing swearing or derogatory commentary is always OK and expected on Lawn Club… but as far as negative reviews go - please think carefully before moderation and instead try and think of another way to handle any given situation. The simple fact is, people are just too easily offended these days.

PLEASE DON’T OVERLOAD OUR SERVERS
Excessive use of pictures or large pictures, too many posts which have little relevance, will only serve to overload our servers with GBs of irrelevance. Please use our service with self control and respect.

PROMOTING YOUR POSTS ON LAWN CLUB SUPPLIER PAGES
If you’re taking the time out to promote your business and products on Lawn Club, it also makes sense that the most number of people see your efforts, and that you gain maximum benefit from your promotions.

Linking to your latest Supplier Channel Post on Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon, Google+ or similar, will help bring more people to your posts, as well as increasing ranking for your posts in Google - which in turn will power up any outgoing links to your own website listed on your Profile and in your Posts. It works for everyone for maximum benefit. This process is also known as "Tiered Link Building" and is a very effective SEO method.
