Got Given A Honda Mower.
#1

A good customer was shifting house last week, and said she had an old mower I could have under the house, she said it worked last time she used it.

Well it took the both of us to lift it into the back of the work ute,I have never seen such heavy mower, once home I fiddled with with but could not get it to start very well. Look forward to take it to local mower shop and trade it in.They said about $100 over the phone, but think it will be less, but looking to buy some battery powered Husky gear-so anything of that price will be helpful.

Its a Chinese made Honda motor,on a non Honda base.very heavy look forward to off load it.

That looks like a masport with Honda motor , these engines are faultless , try take fuel bowl drain screw out and let some fresh fuel flush through the system.( that's the screw on the bowl which is on an angle). Then make sure air filter is clean and the spark plug is not carboned up and it will start .that motor is worth more than 100 bucks.

If that fails it maybe the coil contacts on coil and the top of the crank have rust and need a bit of emery cloth rubbed over them , check to see if it has spark first.doesnt look like it's done a lot of work either.

all good, seems good-especially been given it.

But just far too heavy and just totally unsuited for my business,I had one basically the same

and the best day I had with it was the day I got rid of it,this will not stay in my stables.

ooh good, might be worth doing up and selling myself, rather than trading in for $100,either that or ask dealership for better trade in going by what many here say.

Get it started and use it as a spare or grass pig. For your not so good places that you dont want to wear down your good mower. Or, sell it and put it towards something decent, like a Victa  :P
