Bought the Line trimmer the other day, for the well maintained jobs no probs thus far and oh so light.

I have over the years changed many a trimmer head, no big deal, insert metal rod turn and remove.

Except this one doesnt want to play the game, thought i was doing something wrong so out with owners manual, no all good there.
Waited till mate of mine who,s a lot stronger than me came around and gave it to him, nope not moving.
So went back to Bunnings, lady says get another but because i bought the Trimmer/blower, 2 x

5 amp batteries with charger KIT, i had to return the whole lot, nothing wrong with any of it

SO we get home and lo and behold the new one is exactly the same, got me stuffed. Anybody got any clues??

Also bought the 18v rattle gun, ''Oh what a feeling'' had the 3 blades off and on in 2 shakes of a donkeys tail.

Havnt been to B yet but while they do list a head for the 58v nothing for the 18v. The more i use it the more i like it, did a largeish property today and the Makita 4 stroke blower felt as heavy as after.

No worries Drew, they have a branch in Brisbane. I see your frustration dealing with Bunnings up there!

Little bit but the lady at the return/warranty counter thought it odd to have to return everything for the sake of 1 faulty/ overtightened part. As i said to her So in the future if 1 of the 5 amp batteries dies i have to return everything?  She replied yes like for like.

Well service is no better down here, the rep is only able to deal with the service agents and you can't get anything out of them. Looks like a replacement head won't be an easy task Drew.

Thanks for the effort John. Pretty ordinary when the rep wont give you a part number. Got an answer from aeg on fb (saying it can be ordered via Bunnings special order desk) waiting to see if they can come up with part number.

It should be. Sorta makes me question their intent in the OPE world.  :)

I bought a brand new AEG 18V tool kit (drill, impact driver, bag, 2x batteries and charger) about 4 years ago. One battery was dead out of the box and the local Bunnings just swapped the battery over.

(However, if you're up near the 3 year mark a whole new kit would be nice for a simple battery failure ;) )
