Alpinia,

Attention to detail will become one of you greatest assets so double check everything you do.

Fix your business name, surely it isn't Lwan Care!

EDIT: on this forum your general location is more helpful than your business name

Hi To All
#7

Welcome Alpinia,

I'd advise having a good read around the forum - there's been a lot of discussion here on different gear - I started with second hand Honda commercial gear bought through Gumtree - bout $450 for an HRU216 and $300 for a HRU196 - I still have both as spares but bought a new HRX217 when the time was right - there's a dedicated thread on that model here with a lot of info

Same with whippers and blowers UMK425/435 and HHB25 - all around $200-350 and still working well - I recently moved to EGO 56V cordless gear and am well pleased with it - also a dedicated thread on here.

Best way to nab a bargain on Gumtree is to create an account and set up a search, save it and have the results emailed to you daily - anything good will probably go the same day if not before lunch so you've got to get in quick.

Good luck

Hi To All

Welcome Al,

Whatever mower you purchase make sure its a self propelled one. You will end up with a few mowers but the main one has to be a SP. Your body will thank you.

Did you see the HRU216D listed in Bris yesterday? - way too dear at $980 but I doubt it will sell quickly and they may be forced to haggle

Hi To All

That’s a fairly old 216, I doubt he would get more than $700 tops.
