At least it’s raining nearby, It’ll hit you eventually. The rain fell everywhere but here for a month before we got any.

Learn the 4 day synoptic charts and your local patterns and you can beat them. It’s the backbone of the whole thing.

Cut a few muddy wheelmarks in a lawn today for the first time since March 2017, and dropped a bit of 217 smush on a driveway or 2 as well.

Agreed, once you get used to reading these charts you can forget the forecast and guess it yourself!

Since last Thursday 70mm for my nearest recording station - so Yeeha here too - gentle showers all weekend - my lawn has visibly grown in the last 4 days so it'll be on this week for sure - some followup in the next week or 2 would be perfect.

Sitting out the back this arvo, 4 lawns this morning plus my own, maintenance done. Having my third frothy one as the storms getting going.

And FFCKKNN BOOOOOOOOOMMM

All safe- No damage.
The gum tree about 8 metres away struck by lightning. A shower of shredded bark and the smell of a campfire. That was awesome.

It's awesome isn't it - haven't been that close but I was standing on my back patio when a bolt hit something in the neighbours yard - felt the shock waves in my chest - have another another frothy one to calm the nerves

It’s not that bad, don’t wish it away just yet. It’s had a good knack of raining on weekends and nights as well.
Let the dams fill up as well, water restrictions will start at 60%, and they’ll shift the mindset to sprinklers for years.

A much better situation than last summer, that’s definitely what we don’t want
