Just Bought An Atom
#1

I just bought an Atom Edger..

The business I'm buying has everything except a edger....The seller of the business is giving all equipment...but the only thing he doesn't have is a proper edger ..

Ive been keeping my eyes out and one popped up on Gumtree

Its the 2 stroke model..and in great condition...*it looks new* !!

anyway... I just wanted to post it up here so everyone can bask in my glory :D :D :D

I paid $270 ...   I think I got a good deal

cheers ;)

Ive only used the genuine blades. Ive found my dealer is even cheaper than Boatsnet.

O if no one has mentioned it Boatsnet.com is a FANTASTIC place to buy stuff from. You can save a fortune and reg shipping is an avg of 12 days for me here in Tassie. if like me ur part number challenged the guys here are super helpful for the correct links.

Yeah I have one too, doesn't get used a lot but great for getting very overgrown edges back into line. I offer it as an extra on top of normal whipper snipping.

Ive got a mate that makes his own blades for the atom edger he just welds steel flat bar together in a x shape and drill a hole through the centre of it. To bolt onto the machine.

Saves him a tone of money but i wouldnt be game in case carp ever hit the fan lol

hahaha....  He makes his own !!

Thats thrifty of him ...

I'd be worried about it being out of balance and buggering the machine

You do realize that just one (1 ) piece of flat steel with the right hole size will do just as good a job, no welding required  :)
