PU/PUR air filter foam in sheets

cut your own with scissors/scalpel/wad punch and use PU glue if you need to make tubes

UNI FILTER 9mm in either coarse 30PPI, medium 45PPI or fine 60PPI grades

500mm x 500mm  $25

1000mm x 1000mm $50

EDIT: don't forget filter oil and a squeeze!

PU/PUR = polyurethane

…need to know more or like to learn

https://www.knfilter...ilter_facts.htm

EDIT: K&N filters are made from 'oiled fabric' encased in a metal mesh, not foam or paper

A million mile warranty or 1,600,000 kms. That's what I call a warranty

all this came to mind today because I got caught rinsing air filters in petrol in one of the kitchen saucepans, I assure them and you that detergent and water will clean the saucepan

The finer/smaller the cell size (Pores Per Inch/PPI), the more it filters. A 60 PPI foam has double the amount of pores as in the 30 PPI, however the pores are smaller and this results in a lower airflow.

It would be worth your time to read this…

https://www.uaf.com/...tions/porosity/

EDIT: PPI is a lineal inch gauge

so one square surface inch (25.4mm x 25.4mm) has…

30PPI = 900 big holes (approx.)

45PPI = 2025 medium holes (approx.)

60PPI = 3600 small holes (approx.)
