this is on topic

worth a watch although it is dated and political

GMO a-go-go

hope that helped answer the underlying questions

(herbicides aren't really made for gardeners, they mainly serve the farm industry, the world got along without herbicides for a very long time prior to capitalism, follow the money trail)

Monsanto was laid to rest recently (07/07/2018).

Following its sale to Bayer/BASF the Monsanto name will no longer be used.

The monster grows larger!

In my experiences dicamba kills bindi eye better than bromoxynil , it’s cheaper and kill far more weed varieties . I wouldn’t spray it around veggie gardens or on buffalo , although 20 years back they said it was safe for buffalo if only spray annually .i think the soft leafs are not as tough as the old buffs.anyway it’s horses for courses . I never had issue spraying it originally it was called banvel m until Nufarm took over the rights.no poisons are 100 % sage and should be used sparingly . Best is to cut lawns 10-15 mil higher than normal and choke weeds out.

USA been killing off all GMO crops for years now , every time there’s a spike in glysophate prices , it’s mass usage in America wiping out millions of acres in gmo . They have realised their mistakes but as you say capitalism is in control. I don’t eat cerials , they are killing more people with sugar than cigarettes and alcohol will ever , get the governments won’t do a thing about taxing sugar contant .
