Lock Question
#1

Proximity locks or similar for tool box's. Do they exist?

Wife's new car unlocks the hatch when she is near it. Great idea and I think it would be awesome for those running box's on ute's or trailers.

Approach box with whipper, box unlocks and you open and put away, close and move to trailer for mower and box locks.

Lock Question

I think the cost and the fact you'd need a power source makes them unpractical and why you don't see any.

Think the selling point is hands free, which is good if you have hands full.

Lock Question
#7

I dont see a power source being to much of a problem for tradies. They run inverters and such now.

yes hands free. Operates off the Fob signal. Like Harley and cars do now with the engine start buttons and the hatch like on my wifes car. (brilliant idea by the way) Im surprised its not a widespread available thing..save anyone using tool boxes allot of time. Would also keep tools safer as allot of tradies seem to just leave their boxes unlocked at a job.

Even my cat door works on the chip in the cat and only opens for them and locks as they pass through. Keeps strays out. Battery's last for years.

Won’t everything spring open when you go past with the mower? Just asking before you go on shark tank

No wanting things to spring open, just unlock and lock. When you are mowing the medium strip then yes it would probably be unlocked, move to front lawn and it would lock. Wife's car's tailgate you need to me within a metre or two for it to unlock.
