I have all that gear, its first gen.

Its way under powered compared with the 2nd gen & the whippy spins clockwise.

The mower has a 600w motor & the blower cumbersome & under powered compared to the newer model.

The whippy has reasonable power.

Personally, I wouldnt but, if youre keen, Id add it all up at rrp & pay no more than 1/3rd of that.

Id hate to see you disappointed so do your homework on this, get it right then first time & you'll be a convert, get it wrong & you proly wont try again with batt gear for a long time, doing yourself a disservice.

I know of others on the other channel that have been disappointed & I think its because of their choices.

Battery gear isnt the be all & end all, especially for heavy duty mowing but, unless you need a massive chainsaw or massive blower, I think its got all the other 2 stroke gear covered (for my applications anyway).

Cheers Fred.

I reckon I'd pass Ando. The mower was a disappointment imho, and it's the first gen blower. So the batteries would prob have a few cycles on them too. I like my ego gear but the long term durability is unproven to me. The standout for me is the next gen blower. Sold my Honda hhb blower months ago as it just sat in the shed.

Great advice guys...That's why I love this site :D

after hearing what you have said..  I'm not getting it...

After further probing ...the equipment is 2 years old...  with no receipt of purchase (no warranty)

I really only want the mower....and i don't need the whippy or blower .

so for $699  i can buy a 2nd gen mower..  with warranty..

Once a day i have a customer with stairs...  and its breaking my balls getting my 196 up and down...lol

(my 216 don't do stairs)

I'm thinking the E-Go is the best of the battery mowers at the moment..  Thoughts ?

The early mower wasnt too flash, new ones much better (Oz Tool Talk ). The back up seems a little bit wanting though.

It might surprise you to know the bigger push mower is 4 kg lighter than the small mower due to the motor i believe  ;) Buy the bigger if size isnt a consideration.

We are only talking the ''plastic'' decks here based on your $699 (thats the 49cm push, 26.2kg ).

This one is the No SP

Model Number LM2100E  Self Propel System No

Voltage 56 V  No Load Speed 2800 /

 Cutting Height 28-94 mm

Cutting Height Positions 6  Deck Size 53 cm  Cutting Width 52 cm  Grass Bag Volume 70 L

Mower Weight (without battery pack or accessories) 22.10 kg

 Blade Model AB2101

 Blade Brake YES

Guaranteed Sound Power level 64 dB(A)

The SP weighs 24.55kg

All the figures are with NO battery The 49cm comes with a smaller lighter battery 4.0, compared to the larger push 5.0, against the SP 7.5ah

Hope that explains it. :)

Thanks Drew...great info

well, after further investigation....it seems the base model EGO is the heaviest of them all !!

even the steel based model is lighter....

I'm now considering just buying a cheapo lightweight 2 stroke, so I can carry it up and down stairs at half the price...

I have one that was working well then stopped, it might come good if you know a bit about them.
You can have it if you want

I just love reviews on early models. What you thought was a problem but was dismissed by the salesman etc, now comes out as a real issue. Hindsight!
