Choose simple easily obtainable and mixed liquid hydrocarbon storage containers with screw tops that suit any brand, any size, any age 2 stroke machine (and 4 stroke, even simpler).

5 litre fuel can and pourer for $10 or less each, stores ULP and 2 stroke oil, easily obtained at market prices and can refuel all brands, all sizes.

vs

Faith believers

Gamble on the plethora of overly complex versions of https://en.wikipedia...ium-ion_battery encased in a myriad of proprietary housings that only suit a particular model/range that often becomes outdated/unavailable in a short period of time, no matter how good it is, the next model is better but the old/other brand battery packs don't fit.

And for serious commercial use, anything that is assembled from a large percentage of plastic components that have had the R&D $ spent on looks is probably not designed to last, the best option is to choose ugly but time tested.

My last word is voiced by by Jimmy Soul (1963) If you wanna be happy…

Jimmy Soul - If You Wanna Be Happy (1963) Lyrics

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life

Never make a pretty woman your wife

So for my personal point of view

Get an ugly girl to marry you
A pretty woman makes her husband look small

And very often causes his downfall

As soon as he marries her then she starts

To do the things that will break his heart

But if you make an ugly woman your wife
You'll be happy for the rest of your life
An ugly woman cooks meals on time
She'll always give you peace of mind
Don't let your friends say you have no taste
Go ahead and marry anyway
Though her face is ugly, her eyes don't match
Take it from me, she's a better catch
Say man!
Hey baby!
I saw your wife the other day!
Yeah?
Yeah, an' she's ugly!
Yeah, she's ugly, but she sure can cook, baby!
Yeah, alright!

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

Yep, go battery and you choose a proprietary form factor/battery system  - they know that - I own an AEG drill, impact driver, whipper, blower - so how likely is it that I'm going to buy another brand for my next battery purchase? - none and buckleys - I'm committed - they have me by the short and curleys - same with the EGO gear for mowing.

The EU has tried to mandate universality with phone charging:-

not sure how that's going

We can sorta do that now with the small portable jump start battery,s ( should be one in every vehicle ) jump start your whatever then charge it while your driving while charging your phone/tablet.  :)

But that,s not a bad thing if it,s working though?  us old dinosaurs cant see the writing on the wall, reckon petrol gear has maybe 8-10 years left.

2 strokes are a thing of the past end of this year, meaning you wont be able to buy new from husky etc etc or suzuki etc etc if you into outboards and the like.

Edit Re buying. Manufacturers cant import them after end of this year.
Edit 2 Of course that should mean some good buying for petrol heads, just had a quick look on Husky site, some discounting going on on 2 stroke trimmers or they were overpriced from the get go.

You could tune your lad Holden too, If you got the points adjusted well and had the carby right you could get 400km from an 80litre tank in the hq ute.

Turn it around, if battery gear was the old thing and then 2 stroke was invented with its weight noise and exhaust would there be a rush to get it?

Highly recommend Husqvarna commercial battery brush cutter and hedger.

I've got a stack of their commercial battery range and am very happy with it. I think the long hedger is my favourite tool.
