^^ no Scallop pie? - we had a few during our month there a few years back - very tasty - we thought we were going to pig out on seafood the whole way round the coast but found it was top quality but pretty pricey - had a better feast on the Great Ocean Road - best fish and chips I've ever had I think.
ive never tried one. I think they use frozen scallops and I'm wary of frozen seafood. I do like a scallop and bacon shish kebab. Seafood can be dear here esp in tourist season. I'm not a huge eater of it to be honest but I do like Gummy shark. Its just the best fish by far IMO and I like a fresh cray. They catch the giant crabs here to but they tend to all go to china. Bloody huge they are.
I saw a sign at the local fresh fish shop today (they have their own fishing boats and salmon pens). Fresh Crayfish 1/2s for $25 on special this week. Will grab two on Friday arvo I think for dinner. Some fresh crusty bread and a few prawns, a couple of lemon wedges and that's a decent feed I recon.
