Yesterday I cleaned the underneath of my fake Honda and it does not have a hose connector.

Check out the old Ford.

Wasn't happy with the mess not to mention what I wore, so today I fitted a hose connector to the deck.

I umd and ard where to put it, originally I was going to put it further back where there was an existing hole, then I decided for no other reason than it being easier I fitted it on the side of the deck and it works a treat.

Good idea! I never thought of installing a hose connector. I'll be doing that next weekend .

What Did You Do On Your Mower Today

I bought a cheap ride on a month ago ($300) it needed a motor, and it just so happens, I had a spare motor from my old Viking super slow ride on,

I had to fabricte a few items up but they only took an hour or so, I went and bought 2 sets of belts for the mower as I planned on changing the existing belts and wanted a spare set.

I have used it a few times now and I must say I am impressed with it, especially after yeaterdays effort, one of my regulars rings up and says "Bakes you better come over"

So I went over and blow me down with all the rain we have had, all her weeds and Kikyu had grown to a foot high in 4 weeks.

Its a rather large property, so I chucked the mower in to 5 speed and smashed through it in 30 minutes, didn't even require a touch up in places, the mower didn't even bog down.

anyway this is a pic of the ride on, nothing special but it was cheap and it works a treat.

I did this on the faker this morning

to this, no bumper

needed that extra 31/2 inches space in the trailer.

Going to fab a better shorter one myself.

My trailer packed and ready to go, when I have ride on jobs, I lose one of the MEY's and one of the Rotary's to make room for it.

With the bumper, what I do is get a piece of gal angle iron , you can buy it at bunnings, and put three screws through it to hold it on with one edge facing out,  works great I haven't cracked a base since

I have worn out many Honda decks over the years but must say I have never had any problem with the area you have installed a "slider" on.

Today I did what many have already done and upped the Revs to 3600, what a difference it makes in cutting and speed, had to drop it down to 2nd gear, 3rd is to fast now for my old stumpy legs.

next job is to fit hose connectors to the ride on deck for cleaning under the deck, hopefully I will get that done tomorrow, I have a repair day tomorrow, got 5 mowers to service and one for repair and service, when it rains it pours, but with the mowing still being a little quiet at the moment, these repairs help with the income.

Cheers
