I'm not sure of what your putting it through but it will go thru stuff like this with ease. Theres a whipper in there.

Thick ,damp, grass as high as the wheels it will cut through without to much drama. You may get a stutter from the engine but that's to be expected. the 217 with the flap up would just stall and start crying.

Just fitted a new belt to my newish Mulchy (only got 20-30 hrs out of the belt)  l bought 4 of these for $80 posted  https://www.ebay.com...&frcectupt=true

 

If you're using these kevlar belts they are real barstuds to get on - you need to set the speed lever to slow which releases the tension on the pulleys....and when you adjust the speed setting, you wont get the caliper reading down to 42mm, l settled on 46 with this belt
