So if a electrician comes in to your home and due to an accident punches a hole in the ceiling you are happy paying to have it fixed?

Do you guys really put a regular window through your insurance? Doesn’t it then go up next year.
Insurance is for things you can’t afford to cover. I consider PL for water and gas main disasters or the fancy paint on the Porsche Cayenne.

I haven't, My excess is $500 and I haven't smashed a window (car or sliding door) that's been worth claiming on insurance. Just pay the bill and claim on tax.
