Welcome Phil,

I've got Ego gear as well - but not the mower - 15mths use now and no complaints.

Hi Phil,  How many lawns a day are you doing with the EGO mower and how many battery charges do you go through?

Hi Plucka
I usually do 3~4 lawns a day... As it's not my sole source of income I don't have to a certain number to pay the rent
So at present I have a 7.5 amp and 2 2.5 amp batteries.. That allows me to do 1 larger lawn or 2 small jobs
In between I'll come home.. Recharge.. Then go again... This also allows time for coffee.. Critical in my day β˜•πŸ˜

So only one small lawn from a big battery?  Not feasible then if doing 8+ lawns a day, would need at least 4-5 batteries and time to charge them all twice a day.  But I do like their trimmer and blower.

Runtime and battery costs - seems the numbers only stack up for homeowners at the moment - wonder if anyone is working on a hybrid? - GX25 powered generator that kicks in on demand - I'm going out to the shed

Yep have no drama,s with mine (18V)

Would like to see a 21'' SP 58v to give EGO a run. Victa (B+S)(Snapper) have one in the US but dont plan to bring it here last time i spoke to them.
Come to think of it i dont have any probs with any of my Batteries 82v,18v, 56V, 40v. The 40,s sit in the cupboard for months on end.

Edit the Ego mower (runtime ) has it over all the others at this point in time.

Welcome Phil.

Theoretically there should be  no prob with continuous mowing with 2-3 batts.

Almost all suburban residential properties have external power points, it just a matter of battery management, (charge whilst u mow ) really not that hard.

Im sure examples could be brought up but, for the most part, its not much of a prob.

Cheers Fred.

Ive had my EGO mower for a couple of months now, and its great for the intended purpose i bought it for...going up stairs ,,..But, my Honda has the best cut quality ... I use my 216 all day long ...the EGO maybe once a day...no mechanical problems with the ego yet....touch wood...

and for the whipper...  my Honda UMK GX 35 cops a flogging all day....No way could a battery powered machine do what I do..

This is only my circumstances ..  and everyone is different ..

Nice to hear from you Phill ...Cheers ;)

I've used an EGO trimmer from day 1, does 10 lawns a day no problem with 3 small batteries.  The only time I've been left wanting is when slashing an overgrown empty lot, had to make 3 visits (9 battery charges) to get the job done, I don't do them anymore :)

So Ando, I take it you don't have the Ego 2000w multi tool line trimmer ?

If that hasn't got enough power for u, I don't know what you're whipping ? .......      lol.

Cheers Fred.

100 lawns a fortnight?  Thought you said in another thread you only had like 45 customers at the moment?

No I just thought it strange, cause I,m averaging about 8 lawns a day, only 4 days a week, with about 65 regulars so I thought how on earth are you doing 10 Every day with only 45 customers :)

He just mows lawns, then knocks on the door like the windscreen guy at the traffic lights.
They’re not really customers
