Spray some round up on the mint. That will stop the bugs from eating it.

either Confidor (and dont eat it for the with-holding period) or make up a chili / garlic spray and use it daily for a week or two

Thread ok - topic is within the parameters of this Lawn Club forum discussion where garden and lawn contractors may be able to assist with such issues. Organic care is becoming extremely popular and from experience I find customers are becoming more keen to know these kind of remedies.

Cheers

I agree the thread was OK

probably bad advice (most of us experts would just take this as the joke it was meant to be)

Chemical uses have trade offs and the science is not always 'decided'. Farm chemicals are normally used at the lowest effective dose rate and application is metered. Home gardeners err towards the ultra high or beyond end of the recommended dosage rate

either Confidor (and dont eat it for the with-holding period) or make up a chili / garlic spray and use it daily for a week or two

Confidor

the chilli/garlic seems like the better 'organic' option

Out of curiosity what chemical do framers use when they plant mint for public ?

Is the video in the link below is how we prepare repellent ?

Drew was right…

I saw this coming after I critiqued (carefully read) the OP, so to nip it in the bud I suggested a total thread removal.

We (lawn club contractor members) take advice from and offer advice to fellow lawn club members because we are a community of like minded contractors.

We make our living by charging clients for advice, skills, professional quality equipment and labour.

I have a minimum charge of $40 and charge upwards from $80 per hour for clients.

I still think thread removal was appropriate.

Other members should voice their thoughts below.

I agree Grae..

Once again another reason for one of the older members here to become a Mod...

we can spot a thread that is not a contractor business owner a mile away..
